Artistic Journey:
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and the oldest of three siblings, He began his art journey at age 13 years old, drawing sketches. Superheroes in Saturday morning cartoons caught Rick Arnold’s eye. He became fascinated with the artistry of the characters, their dynamics of their individual superhero powers and how that animation series told their story, saving the world around them. He was inspired to create his own version of superheroes, with his friends. That was the moment he knew that he fell in love with art. Whether his artwork is completed via graphite pencil, charcoal, color pencils drawings or pastels, Mr. Arnold’s passion for art translates onto any medium. The realistic drawings carry the themes of resilience, strength, and human emotion. With a meticulous attention to detail, he meticulously renders scenes from his past experiences, joys of life, precious moments with people, people who were heroic, such as his depictions of Martin Luther King Jr. ,Tina Turner, and others during their journey in life. His artwork thrives on capturing the essence of each moment with precision and clarity. Rick Arnold’s viewers often pause and reflect on the complexities of the human experience and through his artwork, can feel the emotion of each person. Mr. Arnold’s drawings will invoke pride in family, resilience, being loving and being loved, black excellence, innocence of a child, and confidence.

Through my drawings, I strive to capture the intricacies of the world around me, from the smallest details to the grandest of events. Each piece is a reflection of my journey through life, as a man and an artist, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit."
